Cabo Travel Guide

CABO farm to table foodie guide - a foodie destination where sustainable sourcing & fresh flavors reign supreme.

Flora’s Field Kitchen

At Flora Farms is a must in Cabo, a 10-acre organic farm, where all the farm work is done by hand. Their seasonal menu is based on ingredients grown on the farm, & all meats come from their 150-acre ranch where animals are raised humanely without hormones or antibiotics. I love their farm store filled with  fresh produce, eggs, fresh bread, honey, jams and meat. Definitely try their garden fresh cocktails! The carrot orange Farmarita and Bloody Mary are my go to’s. All of the salads, the pork chop and fresh pasta not to be missed. Grab their homemade ice cream at their ice cream cart and walk around the gorgeous property to digest. Try one of their cooking classes too as a fun vacation activity.

Acre

We went twice this visit! On my bucket list to stay in one of the luxe 12 treehouses for a wellnessy retreat. Their farm-chic restaurant is not to be missed…come for lunch, dinner, or brunch featuring ingredients from the surrounding gardens. Dishes are creative and the cocktail program is stellar— if you like mescal, try the Beso de Katrina. The salads are plentiful and not overdressed, the fish is cooked perfectly, and their pizza is great! Ask for cheddar biscuits…they’re a treat. combine for exceptional dining experiences at. Indoor and outdoor seating under twinkly lights and jungle vibes.

toro short rib tacos

Toro

Set in a beautifully decorated design forward space, with a plant-filled interior, this Latin American-inspired restaurant is outstanding. in a gorgeous setting. They serve ceviche, sushi, and tender & juicy steak and their kampachi and short rib tacos are a highlight. Sit indoors or on their gorgeous outdoor terrace surrounded by a gorgeous garden.

One & Only Palmilla

A must visit, One & Only Palmilla is one of our favorite places to stay with a stunning backdrop.  Restaurants include chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Asian-style Suviche, serving incredibly freshly caught fish and sushi and Seared, a steakhouse that cannot be missed. I would recommend every single thing on both menus. Catch the sunset here.

Las Ventanas Al Paraíso, a Rosewood Hotel

In an absolutely stunning setting, Árbol, features Asian-influenced coastal cuisine by incredible Mumbai based chef. We actually had the best Indian cuisine we’ve ever had here plus their must try nigiri sushi. Incredible, locally, sourced ingredients. The wine list is also tremendous. If you reserve ahead, you can set off into the sunset on horses down by the beach pre-dinner.

waves crashing at el farallon

El Farallon

Perched on cliffs above the Pacific at the Waldorf Astoria, El Farallon offers fresh seafood on ice. Choose from the day's catch and delicious side dishes. Enjoy dinner with live music, ocean breezes, & crashing waves. If we were to do it again, we would go for drinks and apps to take in the live music and that view! Or you can do a tasting on the Champagne Terrace for a lovely start to the evening. Tip: it can get chilly, so bring a scarf or ask for a blanket.

El Huerto

A standout for its straightforward, organic approach to serving healthy, creative, fresh and sustainable food. If you’re thinking of restaurant reservations in Cabo, this should be near the top of the list. The grounds are immaculate and Kevin and I grabbed a mango margarita crafted from just-picked mangoes and stroll around the farm pre-dinner. The beet salad and the pistachio crusted, heirloom tomato fondue are not to be missed.
