Cuke Shooters - perfectly hydrating & delicious for summer

Cool (& hydrated) as a cucumber…one of my favorite ways to keep my family hydrated during the summer is with cucumbers. With such an abundance of cukes in our garden this week, I thought I’d whip up something new for you all. These are great for entertaining as apps or as a main course alongside some whole grains. 

Some amazing benefits of eating cucumbers:

🥒Cukes are made up of 96% water & munching on them will quench your child’s thirst as well as help replenish the water & minerals in her their body. My oldest munches on cukes after sports! They’ll help if you or your child has trouble reaching the recommended daily fluid intake.

🥒They’re also chock full of vitamins & minerals making them a great immune & energy booster.

🥒They’re high in Vitamin K which helps keep our bones strong-so important as we age. I believe in setting yourself up now for your next decade. 

🥒Wards off disease & weight- dietary fibers & high water content in cukes promotes digestion. Eating these babies aids in flushing out toxins from the body & keeps your regular. As we know, fiber helps improve gut health! Fill up on these & you’ll be less likely to eat junk food.

🥒Cukes contain the mineral silica, which is a building block of collagen-heck ya-beauty veggie! Meaning it’s beneficial for keeping hair & nails strong & shiny.
